Open the folder called “Game Files” found inside of the extracted folder and double click on the Setup.exe file. Click on install and wait for the game to finish installing. 4. Players running the Ultimate Collection through Origin will need to protect the objects.package for Mansion & Garden Stuff, which is the last stuff pack released. Open File Explorer. Only thing I would suggest is get a laptop with a dedicated graphics card. Not just integrated graphics (intel or AMD Ryzen is what most have). If you are new to the Sims and you download the Ultimate Collection, it dumps you into the Mansions and Gardens screen when it starts up, with no clue how to get to the main program. This helped: "It'll come up like that because that was the last game released. It is the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, it's just not called that. Everything is there.
Thanks for the heads up! I'd installed Origin after the Humble Bundle thing and wasn't as satisfied with Sims 3 as I thought I would be. I'd considered buying Sims 2 again (I owned it on disk at one point but left it at a friends house, he promptly kept the game and pretended he didn't have it) but the prices for it and the packs put me off.

You didn't put a space before " (x86)" and the F in Program Files isn't capitalized. You need to go back to the main UC folder, click the bar, and copy the path that appears there exactly as it is into the Touchup shortcut. omg thank you so much, that worked! Can't believe it was something so silly lol.

I just recently downloaded The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection from OldGamesDownload. The game has been working just fine, however I tried to download CC into it, but the game isn’t recognizing it. I created a downloads folder, extracted the CC downloaded and added it into the folder but it’s not working.

Go into your options, and turn off floor reflections. It is some weird issue with your graphics card. If you have a mac, I would recommend you buy the Sims 2 Super Collection for Aspyr, because it works a lot better. If this helped you, please consider giving some XP. Hi everyone. I recently got a new laptop and downloaded Sims 2 Ultimate Collection. The screen res is stuck at 800x600 which I believe is typical if the game is run on a newer laptop. I've looked at the guides to change the screen size but I don't have any of the files the guide says to look at/edit (eg - Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Config.)
