I would first suspect the wiring coming out of the Hazard Switch to the Left turn signal, the Dark Green/Red wire on pin 7 of the Hazard Switch/Combination Flasher. if the hazards work on all 4 corners, then everything from the switch out, is good, and if the right turn signal works, then it has all the power sources and grounds, this only leaves the combination flasher as the culprit, it has seperate sense wires for left turn, right turn, and hazzards, so if the switch has already been replaced, then it has to be in the combination flasher,Tim

I wound up driving about 200 miles with the signal the way it was (hand signals for right, holding the signal in left or right when not turning left). My 1999 Grand Cherokee has a problem with left directional. Sometimes it just stops working. The next day it works fine again. I changed the left turn light bulbs, and the multi function switch. Slide the shifter beezel as far up vertically as you can. There are 4 clips you ned to remove to do it. You will see a blue and black wire running into the back. Follow those wires to the resistor. Driver side rear lights - when I turn on the lights, all tail lights are okay but when I press the brake pedal all lights go out on the rear driver side. Without lights on the brake light on the left side doesn't work. Turn signal, tail light, and backup lights work until you step on the brake. Every thing works on the passenger side.

Having similar issues I replaced the back up light and the turn signal bulb but they still dont work. Head lights work rear pass turn signal light works, and break lights work. I think its eletrical I found some connections under the bench seat behind the driver seat that there were two wires not connected to anything. and the left turn signal
1 post · Joined 2012. #1 · Jan 30, 2012. So I started with no tail lights and 1 missing brake light. All other lights (interior, front, turn signals) worked fine. I changed bulbs - still no luck. Changed fuses - no luck. Read a prior post about the adjusting the chrome pieces on the metal assembly.. tried it and now the brake lights both work
Hey how are you. This is Your response, sorry this is not texting sorry takes longer ,so you have to be patient for you answer . Thank You. 1- check all fuses first in the inside of the cabin fuse box , but since it is intermittent , that means fuse is good and like the tech said at jiffy lube , the combination switch is a common issue with intermittent condition on the turn signal switch
If power is not getting to the turn signal pin, then a fuse may be blown or it is missing. If either of these is the case, then replace the missing or broken fuse. If power is getting to the trailer turn signal pin, then the issue could be a loose ground wire. Don’t replace the whole light if this is the problem. KKQxUlv.
