Steam tends to install an old version of Uplay that
This is the only one that just does not want to work. Ill play around with it some more to see if I cant get it going. Was readining other forums, no sound is a common occurance.
Hi, writing here to ask if you found any quick solution yet. I have the same problem, neither Far Cry 3 or 4 will even launch after I just bought a new gaming laptop. It's a Lenovo Legion pro 7i with RTX 4080, intel i9 13900HX and 32GB of RAM. It's really a shame since I've been planning to play my childhood games for quite a long time.
check your backround applications many can cause the game to fail on launch .. things like Discord .. and there is also a list in the tips secrtion pinned up top of this forum see section #10 of Known apps that can cause this due to too many in game overlays. If you continue to have issues PLEASE.
Far Cry 4 was one of the giveaways on Amazon Prime Gaming right now, so I got Ubisoft Connect installed (using Proton Experimental as the prefix) and it seems to mostly work, and from there I installed Roller Champions and Far Cry 4. RC works with a couple minor glitches (that may involve a video clip of some kind? If you right-click on the game in your Steam Library, do you get a "View CD Key" option? Nope. The game activated after the game finally got past the "first time setup" dialog that did absolutely nothing. Now I have a different problem, Far Cry 4 refuses to go to the main menu from the "Login Successful" screen

Mad Max and Far Cry 5 New Dawn. I tried everything thus far. Reinstalling and all that. Even tried the WIN11 method. Still the same issue. I saw online where it is mentioned that some games do not do not work well with the E-cores of this CPU and even has a list of games that aren't working with WIN10 and 11 with this CPU. 13. Discussions Rules and Guidelines. A few weeks ago I wanted to continue playing the nostalgic game FARCRY, and for reasons that later turned out to be viruses, the game did not work, but before that it worked. What I did was: I deleted STEAM, I fixed the computer, and now I've re-installed STEAM and FARCRY, but it still does not run. still trying to find a win 10 driver that works best for my GTX 960 ..but so far all have worked with Fac Cry 3 and 4 no crashes and i ran both games for over a few hours last night useing 353.60 this morning i backdated the drivers to see if i could clean up the blurry text on my \desktop ran both FC3 and F C4 no issiues I reinstalled Far Cry 4 on Steam a few days ago to play with a friend who got in on sale, this issue only started yesterday, I've tried many different things to fix it. A list of thee things I've done. - Uninstalling and reinstalling Far Cry, - Restarting my PC. - Uninstalling and reinstalling UPlay launcher. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, verified installation & restarted after deleting the "missing" file, I've attempted to run the .exe as admin, checked firewall settings weren't blocking uplay or Far Cry 5, and I've tried running the game with my anti-virus software disabled. However, I'm still unable to launch the game. Steam: Rightclick on your game and open the properties then add "-skipintro 1" to the launch options. Uplay: Open your FC4 installation path and search for the FC4 exe file, create a shortcut on the desktop, right click the shortcut and add "-skipintro 1" behind the targetline. #1. Let's just do a quick run-down of what's happening when I have the settings as in the title: (I own FC5 on Steam) - I click "Play" and Ubisoft Connect opens. - Ubisoft Connect "prepares" my game "for launch". - Ubisoft Connect finishes its thing and the Far Cry 5 splash screen shows up.
Try to remove the Steam Files from the game directory if you were launching it with uplay ++ if you baught it from steam and moved the key to uplay you have to open both uplay and steam and if you lost on of them accounts you'll not be able to play !
